If you have wobble rollers on your boat you already look like a champion boat launcher. If not, you need to adjust your setup and put more weight onto your keel rollers. If still no relief from huffing and puffing, either add more keel rollers using tandem brackets or change those existing rollers which are not free spinning.
If you do not have wobble rollers then you need to have a good look at how your boat comes off the trailer at the boat ramp. For many , skids are great because their boat is lightweight. Lightweight means you can nearly lift it yourself. If your boat is heavier then get rid of the skids because you have to submerge that boat trailer to get your boat off. Seem this so many times it's silly.
Rig up wobbles where your skids used to be and you'll wonder why you didn't do this years ago.
Single, Twin or Quad selection rather depends on boat weight, distance travelling and hull thickness.
Travelling long distances can be so tricky you'll need to keep those skids because friction can wear a hole right through your hull. Long distances means Mt Isa to Cairns.
