Tandem rocker brackets suit two purposes.
(a) Provide more cross sectional area for your hull to sit on. I have always been an advocate of more rollers are infinitely better than less rollers on those heavier boats. More rollers provide more support and less opportunity for bruising on that hull. Hull bruising is unsightly and dramatically decreases hull dynamics and speed.
(b) Provide for less stresses to be placed onto your hull when retrieving your boat onto the trailer. The first roller on the transom is the most important when retrieving. This transom roller will carry the full weight of the winch when your boat first enters your trailer.
Scary isn't it. OK, change it to a tandem roller and that stress is halved.
